Storyline Synopsis
The story sees Agent 47 living a peaceful live on the island of Sicily in a small church with a holy man named Father Vittorio. However, after Vittorio is kidnapped by an Italian Mafia group which demands $500,000 for his return. 47 has little choice but to return to what he left behind, The Agency. He gets in contact with The Agency, who believed he was dead, and manages to persuade them to give him information at a cost. The Agency (mainly Diana) give Agent 47 the information on the kidnappers which leads him to Villa Borghese. He kills the ringleader, Giuseppe Guilliano, however it appears 47 was too late and Father Vittorio is gone. Diana informs 47 that he was spotted on The Agency's satellite being taken away by "four bearded Russian-looking types in uniform".
Though 47's mission is deemed a failure in his eyes, The Agency still wished that their side of the agreement is fulfilled and 47 is assigned the task of assassinating a total of four targets for The Agency. Once finished, The Agency offer 47 some more jobs in return for triple the normal reward. 47 accepts and travels eastwards to countries such as Japan, Malaysia, Afghanistan, Russia and India.
47 works out that he is actually working for a man named Sergei Zavorotko who is a client of The Agency. Sergei Zavorotko is actually the brother of Arkadij Jegorov who was one of 47's five fathers. After much research, 47 tracks down Sergei Zavorotko who is hiding out in Father Vittorio's church back in Sicily. Zavorotko also has Father Vittorio hostage but 47 eventually kills Zavorotko, saving Father Vittorio. The Father asks 47 to find peace in his heart and gives him a silver cross. 47 leaves the church and hangs the cross on the church door, never to return again.
